…or to be slightly more P.C. caucasian little person.  But hey, I didn’t name the game.

White Dwarf is an arcade style shooter in space that is bound by a wall.  Great offering from the developer preussie.

Installation: Place the WhiteDwarf.nds file anywhere in your cart.

Time to scroll and shoot.  

This is a classic top-down shooter vertical scroller.  There is a campaign mode and an arcade mode.  Apparently there is a Single DS two-player mode, but I’m not too keen to cozy up with someone just to play this game.  

Installation: You can put the opentyrian.nds file anywhere on your cart.  The folder /tyrian/ directory needs to be placed on the root of your cart.  (This folder takes up a lot of space, because of all the music files.  You can eliminate them if you are short on space.)

Note: The title screen of the game displays the word “Tyrian” in a very stylized script.  It is actually what is called an ambigram, it can be read the same upside down.  So, load it, run it and flip your ds over to see.

Silly little Hobbels…

This is a fun arcade-style puzzle shooter taking place in space/space station.  You need to land to pick up the stranded Hobbels and then return them to the safe landing pad.  

Installation:  You can put file Grafoon.nds anywhere on your cart.  The /usr_maps/ directory needs to be placed at the root of your memory card.   Two files named “GF_CFG” and “GF_SCORE” will be created at the root directory of your card.
