DS Homebrew

On Jeopardy last week, the Final Jeopardy clue was: “This dude’s game features coffee, jumping, awesomeness, robots, and tasty pastries”  The answer: What is Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp?

But, on a slightly more serious note, this is a very fun, well executed piece of homebrew.  The mechanics are simple, the artstyle is colorful and clean, and the physics are very easy to get used to.  

Note: This is also available in the Community Games section of XBox Live.  So, support this developer in every way you can.

Installation: Place the BiscuitRomp.nds file anywhere in your cart.

That’s right, the game is available as a 2D game for DS.  You can go through the built-in levels, create your own, or download levels through the wifi connection.  The game is called StillAliveDS.  The game features a simple interface for right-handed or left-handed users, and uses the stylus for aiming your portal gun.  The controls are customizable to your liking.  

Installation: Download and put anywhere on your homebrew cartridge.  This will create a folder called StillAliveDS on the root of your cart.  It will keep your custom maps, and save your game progress here.
